ABOUT THE ROLE
We're seeking a motivated Project Officer (0.6 FTE, 3-year contract) to support the delivery of the People's Health Voice (PHV) program, funded by SA Health.
In this role, you'll coordinate community engagement, governance, and project activities that strengthen participation of diverse communities in health policy, planning, and system improvement.
You'll work closely with community members, stakeholders, and partners to ensure lived experience informs more equitable and inclusive health services across South Australia.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate and deliver PHV activities in line with program and funding requirements
Support governance processes, including the PHV Community Steering Committee
Plan and facilitate community engagement and consultation activities
Build and maintain relationships with community organisations, consumer groups, and health sector stakeholders
Undertake research and analysis to inform policy, advocacy, and reporting
Prepare reports, submissions, briefings, and community-facing resources
Capture lived experience insights and contribute to advocacy and system improvement
Coordinate communications, events, and program reporting
ABOUT YOU
You're an organised and collaborative professional with a passion for community voice, health equity, and social justice. You're confident working with diverse stakeholders and supporting inclusive, meaningful participation.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
Experience in community engagement, participation, or co-design approaches
Strong research, analysis, and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships across diverse stakeholders
Understanding of issues affecting people experiencing disadvantage and health inequities
A commitment to the values and mission of SACOSS
Applicants must be Australian citizens or permanent residents with full working rights in Australia.
