BAR Studio
International, collaborative and culturally engaged, BAR Studio specialises in the design of hotels and resorts throughout the world. Since 2003 we have established a portfolio of refined and sensitively realised projects. We are committed to design responses that form a sense of place, grounding each project in a material and aesthetic landscape. Above all else we value material and spatial quality, detail and the integrity of the designed outcome.
The key to creating successful design outcomes lies in our personal approach and our creative and professional collaboration with strong, cohesive and effective teams. We structure our studio so that key senior members are across all projects, ensuring each project is prioritised company-wide, and our directors and key staff are integrally involved in all aspects of design and delivery.
The Role
We’re looking for a Project Leader to take ownership of project delivery, someone who combines design sensitivity with strong coordination, stakeholder management and commercial awareness.
Reporting to the Project Director, the Project Leader plays a pivotal role in leading project teams and coordinating delivery across all project phases, ensuring design intent is protected and realised through to construction.
You will work closely with design, technical and delivery teams to move projects forward with clarity, rigour and strong communication, balancing program, budget and stakeholder expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Lead project delivery from concept to completion, scoping, scheduling and coordinating resources.
Manage budgets, costs, risks and contractual obligations, ensuring projects remain profitable and within scope.
Safeguard and communicate BAR Studio’s design intent to all stakeholders.
Coordinate project governance including delivery meetings, reporting, and client engagement.
Support and mentor team members, providing feedback, guidance and opportunities for development.
Build and maintain strong client and consultant relationships, representing BAR Studio externally.
Work collaboratively with Project Directors and Design Leaders to integrate design, delivery, and resourcing strategies.
Success Means
Projects are delivered in line with program, budget and BAR Studio standards
Design intent is clearly understood and translated into buildable outcomes
Stakeholders are aligned, informed and engaged throughout the project lifecycle
