About the Role  

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead key projects across the Mining and renewables sectors. Your primary focus will be to apply and execute project management frameworks and governance across multiple concurrent projects ensuring high quality project outcomes are successfully executed and achieved. 

This is a hands-on technical leadership role where you’ll manage client relationships, engineering delivery and innovative technology solutions. You will take direct accountability for projects and provide guidance, coaching and direction to the technical team. Your leadership will ensure projects are executed successfully, meeting both business objectives and client expectations. 

Key responsibilities include:  

  • Ensure high-quality project outcomes by managing Scope, tasks, timelines and deliverables. 

  • Oversee the project’s performance, ensuring revenue and sales targets are met. 

  • Proactively allocate resources and plan team capacity to meet project demands. 

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, delivery plans, schedules and registers to accurately monitor and track project progress and performance. 

  • Effectively Manage Scope Creep and Variations.   

  • Manage any deviations from baseline, identifying and implementing corrective action to recover. 

  • Manage procurement and site installation subcontractors required for projects.  

  • Engage and influence to foster a collaborative team environment. 

  • Promote safety, compliance and risk mitigation. 

  • Continuously share insights and drive innovation to enhance team performance. 

About You  

We are looking for someone that has: 

  • 6+ years of experience delivering process control, digital and/or electrical engineering projects. 

  • A bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline, with certification in program/project management highly regarded. 

  • PMP certification or Graduate certificate in Project Management is desirable.  

  • Extensive exposure to the mining, mineral processing, oil and gas, and renewable or water/wastewater industries. 

  • Proven expertise in applying project management frameworks. 

  • Commercial acumen and an understanding of financial, technological risk and compliance requirements. 

  • Exceptional planning, communication and leadership skills. 

  • Experience working with project management tools to deliver successful outcomes. 

  • A proactive and collaborative working style, with a focus on continuous improvement.
