Queensland Complete Contracting Services (QCCS) is a leading civil construction company delivering high-quality infrastructure projects across Queensland.

We pride ourselves on innovation, safety, and a strong team culture. We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee site-based projects at DALRYMPLE BAY COAL TERMINAL, ensuring they’re delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality.

About the Role

As a Project Manager, you’ll take ownership of multiple projects on site from mobilisation to completion.

Reporting to the Project Co-Ordinator, you’ll lead project delivery while driving safety, efficiency, and client satisfaction.

You will be supported by Site Supervisors and administrative staff, working closely with the Client Representatives, Managing Director, subcontractors and suppliers.

This will primarily be a site-based roll however will include flexibility to work from the head office in Mackay if & when required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safety & Quality Leadership – Foster a strong safety culture on site, conduct risk assessments, and ensure compliance with company and site-specific safety plans.

  • Project Delivery – Manage project schedules, cost tracking, reporting, and client communication to deliver successful outcomes on time and within scope.

  • Tender, Costing & Scoping Support – Assist with reviewing scopes, preparing tenders/quotes, estimating and identifying risks that may impact delivery.

  • People Leadership – Recruit and onboard project teams, set clear expectations, mentor Site Supervisors, and maintain a positive and engaged workforce.

  • Procurement & Resources – Ensure required tooling, equipment, and materials are planned and available to avoid delays and maintain efficiency.

  • Technical & Quality Control – Provide technical advice, review work standards, identify issues early, and implement corrective actions.

  • Continuous Improvement – Capture lessons learned, drive process improvements, and uphold QCCS’s core values.

  • Stake Holder Facilitation – Liaising with key stakeholders whilst managing client expectations.

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience in project supervision or management within the civil or construction industry.

  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to manage budgets and project financials.

  • Proven ability to lead teams, mentor Site Supervisors, and build positive client relationships.

  • Solid understanding of safety systems and risk management practices.

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.

  • Strong technical knowledge of civil construction methods and standards.

  • Someone with effective time management & prioritisation skills.
