Description
Genus Infrastructure (NSW) is seeking applications for an experienced Project Engineer to join our team! Immediate start available, with a comprehensive handover provided.
The Business
Genus Infrastructure (NSW) Pty Ltd, a subsidiary of GenusPlus Group (ASX-listed), is a rapidly growing leader in delivering critical infrastructure projects across Australia. From transmission lines and substations to communications solutions and renewable energy, we design, construct, and maintain the assets that keep Australia moving forward.
The Project: HumeLink East
Genus Infrastructure (NSW), in partnership with Acciona, is proud to deliver the HumeLink East project—part of a $1.4 billion joint venture. This major initiative involves constructing 237 km of 500 kV transmission lines between Bannaby and Wondalga in NSW, along with enhancements to the Bannaby substation. This project is a vital component of the broader HumeLink development, designed to boost grid capacity, support Snowy 2.0, and enable renewable energy integration across NSW. Construction commenced in early 2025, with completion expected between 2026 and 2027. It will create approximately 1,600 jobs and invest $2 million in local communities, with a strong focus on environmental stewardship and stakeholder collaboration.
The Role
Predominantly based in the field, as well as at our Joint Venture office in Goulburn, the Project Engineer will play a pivotal role in supporting the delivery of this major transmission project. The position involves overseeing on‑site civil works, ensuring compliance with engineering standards, coordinating with construction teams, and contributing to the safe, timely, and efficient execution of project activities.
This role requires a technically strong, detail‑oriented professional with experience in civil engineering within large‑scale infrastructure or construction environments.
