Alongside our core fitout and refurbishment expertise, the Melbourne team also delivers complex construction projects across commercial, education, health and aged care sectors.

You’ll play a key role in:

As a Project Manager in our Melbourne team, you’ll take the lead in bringing great projects to life — guiding them from pre‑construction through to completion. You’ll work closely with site teams, subcontractors and clients to keep things moving, solving challenges, coordinating trades and making sure every stage of the project runs smoothly.

It’s a role for someone who enjoys the buzz of construction and the energy of working with a great team. You’ll balance programme, commercial performance and quality outcomes while building strong relationships and creating a positive project environment — all while delivering the kind of results our clients trust SHAPE for.

• Lead the safe, profitable and timely delivery of construction projects
• Manage project programmes, trade procurement and subcontractor coordination
• Maintain strong client, consultant and stakeholder relationships throughout the project lifecycle
• Monitor project financial performance including cost reporting, risk management and cash flow
• Ensure compliance with SHAPE policies, EHSQ systems and Australian safety standards
• Coordinate project teams to achieve programme certainty, quality outcomes and defect minimisation.

What you’ll bring:

You’re a capable construction professional who knows how to keep a project moving and a team working well together. Comfortable in a fast‑paced environment, you bring confidence in managing programmes, coordinating project teams and building strong relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors. You balance safety, quality and commercial outcomes while creating a positive project environment where great teamwork leads to great results.

• 5+ years’ experience in the building industry with Project Management experience in commercial construction
• Proven experience delivering construction projects valued $5M+
• Strong understanding of construction methodology, cost reporting and project programming
• Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications for buildability and accuracy
• Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating project teams
• A collaborative approach that builds strong relationships with clients, consultants and delivery teams
