About Upper Horn Investments (Australia) Pty Ltd
Upper Horn Investments (Australia) Pty Ltd is a 100% wholly-owned subsidiary of Upper Horn Investments Limited (registered in Hong Kong, China), which is fully controlled by Guangdong Energy Group. As an overseas investment and business operation platform for the Group, we focus on investments, construction, and operation of energy projects (including natural gas, oil shale, and coal-fired power), mineral resource projects (coal and oil shale), as well as LNG and bulk cargo transportation, trade, and financing. Our flagship Australian project is the Narrabri Coal Mine in New South Wales (with a 7.5% equity stake, co-operated with major shareholder Whitehaven Coal Ltd), an underground longwall mining operation producing approximately 6.5 million tonnes of high-calorific value thermal coal annually for the Asia-Pacific market, with plans to expand to 9 million tonnes. Committed to sustainability, we actively contribute to local community development, environmental protection, and social responsibility through job creation, infrastructure support, and ecological conservation initiatives.
