The opportunityThe Project Manager is the primary delivery leader on an assigned construction project, responsible for managing head contract obligations, coordinating on-site design and construction activities, and overseeing commercial performance.Working closely with the site, commercial, and engineering teams, you will drive program delivery, manage head contract claims and EOTs, and ensure the project achieves its quality, safety, and financial targets.
Key responsibilitiesManage head contract obligations, correspondence, and contractual notices throughout the project lifecycle.Identify, quantify, and process head contract variations and claims with the client.Manage EOT submissions and support claims with appropriate delay analysis and contemporaneous documentation.Coordinate with the commercial team to ensure all contractual timeframes and SOPA obligations are met.Oversee on-site design management and coordination, and lead the engineering team and manage consultant responses to RFIs.Manage subcontract variations and claims, coordinating with the CA and Senior CA on assessment and resolution.Manage client relationships and project progress reporting at the project level.Lead project meetings, oversee the site program, and ensure site teams are aligned to the project schedule and scope.
Requirements10+ years’ experience in project management within the building construction industry with a demonstrated track record delivering projects valued at $50M and above.Strong knowledge of head contract administration, claim processes, variations, and EOT management.Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent.Experience with design and construct delivery models is a plus.Confident project leader with strong organisational and delivery management capability that stays composed and decisive under program and commercial pressure.Skilled at managing client expectations and escalating issues to the Project Director.Effective coordinator across site, commercial, and engineering disciplines.
