TIAM Solutions is a Western Australian-based technical, installation, and maintenance company specialising in all aspects of Grinding Mills.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Mechanical SMP Project Engineer to join our team. This role will be based primarily at our Midvale workshop.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare budget estimates, costings, and proposals for new projects, shutdown and maintenance works.

  • Develop and review mechanical and SMP (Structural, Mechanical & Piping) project documentation.

  • Prepare, interpret, and manage engineering drawings and technical documentation.

  • Compile various project reports.

  • Coordinate procurement of materials, equipment, parts and components.

  • Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotations, manage deliveries, and ensure project requirements are met.

  • Assist the Technical Manager with project planning, execution, and resource allocation.

  • Support project scheduling and monitor progress against budgets and timelines.

  • Coordinate workshop and site activities to ensure safe and efficient delivery.

  • Participate in site inspections, shutdown planning, and project meetings as required.

  • Ensure compliance with client specifications, Australian Standards, and company quality requirements.

  • Maintain strong working relationships with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.

  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and cost optimisation.

  • Willing to travel to remote mine sites when required.

Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.

  • Experience in SMP project delivery within the mining, resources, or heavy industrial sectors.

  • Experience with fixed plant equipment, Grinding Mills, Crushers, and associated infrastructure will be highly regarded.

  • Strong understanding of project estimating, procurement, and contract administration.

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software, including Gantt charts and CAD

  • Current Construction OHS Card (White Card).

  • Valid Driver's Licence.

  • Ability to pass a medical and drug & alcohol screening.

  • Ability to provide a Federal/National Police Clearance.
