Project Manager – Civil Land Development

About Us

We are a growing property development company with a strong pipeline of residential land development projects. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the delivery of civil infrastructure and subdivision works across multiple developments.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated project professional to take ownership of project delivery and work closely with development, engineering, consultant, and contractor teams.

The Role

Reporting to Senior Management, you will be responsible for managing the delivery phase of residential land development projects, ensuring civil infrastructure works are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

You will coordinate consultants, contractors, authorities, and stakeholders throughout the construction and delivery process, while proactively managing project risks, budgets, and programmes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the delivery of civil land development projects from construction commencement through to practical completion and title registration.

  • Oversee construction activities including roads, drainage, sewer, water, utilities, earthworks, and landscaping.

  • Manage contractor procurement, contract administration, and performance.

  • Monitor project budgets, forecasts, claims, variations, and cost reporting.

  • Develop and maintain project programmes and delivery schedules.

  • Coordinate civil engineers, surveyors, authorities, contractors, and service providers.

  • Conduct site inspections and attend regular construction and project meetings.

  • Manage authority inspections, compliance requirements, and handover processes.

  • Identify and mitigate project risks and delivery challenges.

  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, engineering, and regulatory requirements.

  • Prepare project reports and updates for senior management.

  • Drive efficient project delivery while maintaining quality and commercial outcomes.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Degree qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline.

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in civil construction, land development, infrastructure delivery, or project management.

  • Proven experience delivering residential subdivision or civil infrastructure projects.

  • Strong understanding of civil construction methodologies and subdivision delivery processes.

  • Experience managing contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders.

  • Strong commercial acumen including budgeting, forecasting, and contract administration.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.

Desirable Experience

  • Residential subdivision delivery.

  • Civil infrastructure construction.

  • Contract administration and procurement.

  • Authority approvals and compliance management.

  • Project scheduling and programme management.

  • Experience working with developers, civil contractors, consulting engineers, or land development businesses.
