Sterling Products is a long-established Australian manufacturing business specialising in signage, fabrication, plastics, security products and custom project solutions.

For more than 30 years, we’ve built a reputation for delivering innovative, practical solutions across commercial, government and industrial sectors. Our capabilities include digital printing, signage, metal and plastic fabrication, thermoforming, installation coordination and ongoing service management.

We are now looking for an experienced and highly organised Project Manager / Production Coordinator to join our growing team.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who understands manufacturing, signage, facilities management or fabrication environments and enjoys taking ownership of projects from quotation through to completion.

About the Role

You will be responsible for coordinating projects from start to finish, ensuring jobs are delivered on time, within budget and to a high standard.

This role requires someone who can confidently communicate with clients, suppliers, installers and internal production teams while keeping a close eye on purchasing, timelines and project profitability.

This is not just an office administration role — we are looking for someone commercially aware, proactive and capable of managing multiple moving parts in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare accurate project estimates and quotations

  • Coordinate projects from production through to installation

  • Liaise with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams

  • Organise purchasing and procurement of project materials

  • Ensure production and installation schedules are met

  • Track project costs and maintain healthy project margins

  • Monitor project progress and resolve issues proactively

  • Coordinate installers and subcontract trades

  • Assist with tender submissions and supporting documentation

  • Support day-to-day operational and administrative requirements where needed

  • Keep management informed of project status, risks and outcomes

About You

To succeed in this role, you will ideally have experience in:

  • Signage

  • Manufacturing

  • Fabrication

  • Facilities Management

  • Construction coordination

  • Shopfitting

  • Industrial project management

You will also bring:

  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills

  • High attention to detail

  • Confidence working in fast-paced environments

  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities

  • Experience with purchasing and supplier coordination

  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills

  • A practical, solutions-focused attitude

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Highly Regarded
  • Experience in commercial or government tenders

  • Knowledge of signage production and installation processes

  • Estimating experience

  • OH&S knowledge or qualifications

  • Experience managing facilities or maintenance-based projects
