DBM Management is seeking a highly experienced, hands-on Superyacht Exterior Detailing Manager / Operations Manager to lead and elevate our exterior detailing division. This is a working leadership role — ideal for someone who takes pride in premium finishes, thrives on site, and can confidently lead teams to deliver exceptional results every time.

About the Role

This is not a desk-based management position. You will be actively involved in day-to-day operations, working alongside your team on-site while also managing workflow, scheduling, quality control, and client expectations.

You will be responsible for ensuring every project is delivered to a consistently high standard — from residential detailing to large-scale exterior maintenance programs.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, train, and motivate exterior detailing teams on-site
Work hands-on in exterior detailing tasks when required
Oversee daily operations, scheduling, and job allocation
Maintain strict quality control across all projects
Liaise directly with clients, builders, and property managers
Manage equipment, materials, and job readiness
Ensure WHS compliance and safe site practices at all times
Identify process improvements and efficiency opportunities
Support recruitment and onboarding of new team members
Uphold DBM's premium service standards and brand reputation

About You

You are a practical leader who isn't afraid to get your hands dirty. You take ownership, lead by example, and understand that quality work starts on the tools.

Australian citizenship or permanent residency is required for this position.

You will bring:

Strong background in exterior detailing, cleaning, or property maintenance (essential)
A minimum of 3-4 years' experience in exterior detailing is required
Proven experience in team leadership or operations management
A minimum of 1-2 years of team leadership experience is required
High attention to detail and pride in workmanship
Ability to manage multiple jobs and priorities at once
Strong communication and client-facing skills
Solid understanding of WHS requirements
A proactive, solutions-focused attitude
Current driver's licence (required)
Current car licence (C class) is required
