Multigate Medical Products is one of Australia and New Zealand's leading manufacturers and suppliers of procedure packs and medical consumables for the public and private hospital markets. We are a family-owned business founded in 1986.

Based in Smithfield, we are currently seeking a Transport Fleet Driver to join our team reporting to the Transport and Fleet Manager. You will be part of a team of professionals responsible for safely transporting goods and materials between different locations. The shift time for this role is 8am to 4pm.

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Operate a transport vehicle in a safe and efficient manner, following all traffic laws and regulations.

  • Load and unload goods and materials onto the transport vehicle, ensuring that they are properly secured and protected.

  • Maintain accurate records of transport activities, including delivery schedules, mileage, fuel consumption, and expenses.

  • Conduct regular inspections of the transport vehicle, checking for any mechanical or safety issues, and reporting any problems to management.

  • Communicate with customers, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure that transport needs are met, and issues are resolved.

  • Follow all safety and regulatory requirements related to transport operations, including the use of personal protective equipment and the proper handling of hazardous materials.

  • Plan and execute transport routes and schedules, ensuring that deliveries are made on time and in the most efficient manner possible.

  • Maintain a clean and organized transport vehicle, including regular cleaning and maintenance.

  • Participate in training and development opportunities to improve skills and knowledge.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Commercial driver's license (MR or HR class) required

  • Experience driving commercial vehicles preferred, and a clean driving record.

  • Knowledge of transport regulations, safety requirements, and industry trends.

  • Ability to operate a transport vehicle safely, work independently and good time management skills

  • Familiarity with GPS and other navigation tools.

  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects up to 20 Kg.

  • Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.

  • Valid forklift license and trailer driving experience advantageous.
