About the role
We are seeking a highly organised and customer-focused Courier and Fleet Coordinator to join our team in a permanent part-time position. This role plays a vital part in supporting the day-to-day operations of our courier services by coordinating fleet vehicles, managing the distribution of pathology reports, urgent courier specimen pickups, delivery of cardiac equipment and supplies, and providing efficient administrative support. Working hours are Monday to Friday 7:00am – 12:00pm. Working closely with courier drivers and stakeholders, you will help ensure the operational efficiency and delivery of services while maintaining high standards of customer service and compliance.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Manage fleet servicing schedules, vehicle swaps and driver communications to minimise operational disruptions.
Arrange short-term replacement vehicles to support servicing, maintenance and incident management.
Oversee vehicle inspections including cleaning and maintenance, ensuring compliance with safety and operational requirements.
Dispatch courier jobs and communicate daily operational requirements to drivers.
Manage incoming courier enquiries, bookings and provide timely support to internal and external stakeholders.
Assist with the coordination, delivery and distribution of mail/reports, pathology supplies, cardiac equipment and other items.
Maintain courier administration and delivery areas to ensure operational workflow.
Complete general administrative duties including record keeping, data entry and documentation management.
Contribute to effective teamwork through open communication, problem-solving and collaboration.
To be successful you will have:

Demonstrated commitment to service excellence
Excellent attention to detail, time management and organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with a professional telephone etiquette
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word and Excel.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also working independently when required.
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information appropriately.
A current unencumbered Full Australian Driver's License, the ability to drive a transit van & Legal right to work in Australia
A valid National Police Certificate (for the purpose of employment)
Desirable (but not essential)
Previous courier and fleet experience
