POSITION PURPOSE
We’re seeking a Fleet Management Coordinator to oversee daily transportation operations and ensure our fleet operates smoothly. This role suits someone who is organised, hands-on, and experienced in logistics or fleet management.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Fleet Operations & Scheduling
Plan and coordinate daily delivery and transport schedules to ensure timely and efficient service.
Maximise vehicle utilization and minimize idle or waiting time.
Monitor driver routes, trip logs and GPS tracking systems to optimize operational performance.
Create driver rosters and ensure adequate transport resources are available each day.
Supervise drivers to maintain high standards of safety, compliance and professionalism.
· Maintenance & Compliance
Manage vehicle servicing, repairs and inspections according to preventive maintenance schedules.
Ensure all vehicles comply with registration, insurance and safety requirements.
Maintain relationships with external service providers to ensure timely repairs and maintenance.
· Fleet Performance & Reporting
Track and analyse fleet-related costs such as fuel, maintenance and insurance.
Prepare regular reports on fleet performance, utilisation and productivity.
Keep all vehicle documentation accurate and up to date, in line with transport regulations and company policies.
· Collaboration & Improvement
Work closely with internal teams (Operations, Finance, etc.) to align fleet capacity with business needs.
Support the implementation of new fleet systems or process improvements.
Contribute to initiatives focused on safety, sustainability and operational excellence.
SKILLS & KEY REQUIREMENTS
· Proven experience in logistics, transport, or fleet coordination.
· Strong communication and coordination skills – able to work effectively with drivers, service providers and internal teams.
· Solid understanding of vehicle maintenance and transport compliance.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) for reporting and data analysis.
· Experience with fleet management software is an advantage.
· A proactive and detail-oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
